I love this video. I come back to rewatch it every so often. It’s almost cathartic to hear you air out so many of the grievances I had with this show. Ludo quickly grew on me and became my favorite while season two was airing, and I remember being really disappointed with how the show handled him in party. In addition, I hated how unlikeable Marco and Star slowly became. In seasons three and four, it seemed as if their dynamic randomly did a complete 180 in that Marco became the immature, naive one. The first two seasons will always hold a special place in my heart, but I really wish the 2nd half of the show was handled differently.

I loved the show, and I found nothing wrong with the finale except for Mina surviving, thats my only gripe, and I feel like the reveal of Moon hiring Mina was mainly done for shock value, like to get a reaction, like "what!! Aw! I can't believe she did that!". It definitely got a reaction out of me, I was like "What? Moon You Bitch!!". And it feels like the writers had no idea what to do after they got a reaction. but it is insane how much people hate the finale, like I saw a video where someone was trash talked the finale, and he basically called Star "Hitler". And then he showed images of Star dressed as Hitler, and her sitting on a pile of bones, and a collage of all the magic characters with a caption reading "we honor those lost to genocide caused by star", like omg I know some people find the finale bad, but just calling Star "Hitler" seems a bit too extreme, like if you're reaction is like that, you're probably taking things way too far and you need to adjust your priorities, there are many other things to mad about

There is actually this Percy Jackson fanfiction where the author pulls a "destroy everything that made the world special" in the ending, but actually made it feel conclusive, epic, and tragic, but necessary. Basically, a fanfic writer wrote a better version of what the writers tried doing for this show.

Something I feel like everyone’s needs to take away from this, is that you really shouldn’t pander to your fans. I have seen shows where they completely change how the story was supposed to go because of fans and it has always ended poorly. Series like Supernatural, Riverdale, Pretty Little Liars, or even Game of Thrones are the biggest offenders of this. The writers completely sacrificed storytelling just to keep their fans engaged by giving into the nonsensical theories and terrible plot lines.

I hate this show. I liked it in season 1 and Toffee was one of my favorite Disney TV antagonists then everyone became a fucking asshole and Nachos… I stopped watching after I realized Nachos was left behind. No dog like creature left behind

Season 3 was a recoverable pit that felt something was a tiny bit off, but you could at least tell was some consistency there, Season 4 on the other hand was just...the crew was just tired of the show, and wanted it to just end with star and marco together, since apparently all doesn't matter except these two and their love life.
